Dresden is famous worldwide for its unique sights. Whether you’re exploring the Zwinger Palace, visiting the Semper Opera House, or enjoying the magnificent view of the Elbe River from Brühl’s Terrace, you’ll be amazed by Dresden’s distinctive charm. Other attractions include the city’s many museums, among them the world-renowned Old Masters and New Masters Galleries, the Historic Green Vault, and the museums of the State Art Collections.
Several times a week, from Easter until the end of October (the last tour of the 2025 season takes place on November 1, 2025), the double-decker buses of Stadtrundfahrten Dresden depart directly from the campsite for a large 22-stop hop-on/hop-off city tour, including guided walks around the Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche), along the Procession of Princes (Fürstenzug), and through the Zwinger complex. The hop-on/hop-off route takes you past the 22 most important sights. You can get off at any stop to explore, relax, or go for a stroll. This makes the tour ideal for families and dog owners as well.
Transfer to Dresden is free of charge. Adults pay €20 for the first day and only €5 for each additional day, while children up to 14 years old travel free (subject to change). If seats are available, the transfer can also be used without booking a city tour for a small fee of just €3 per person. There’s hardly an easier or more comfortable way to explore Dresden!
