Every Monday & Friday: Meissen - castle Moritzburg - vineyard & castle Wackerbarth
Start at 9 am with your transfer to the starting point in Dresden for the discovery of Meissen, the city of porcelain, and a detour to the castle of Moritzburg and the Vineyard Wackerbarth. The first stop in Radbeul offers the possibility for all interested guests to start a ride with steam railway to the castle of Moritzburg (ticket for the steamtrain is not included). At the castle of Moritzburg all guests will have a small rest allowing beautiful photos of hunting residence and baroque castle also very for its setting for the movie "Drei-Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel/ Cinderella". Continuing your trip to Meissen, you will experience at Meissen's state porcelain manufactory how porcelain painters create “real Meissen porcelain” in demonstration workshops. There will be enough time after your visit of the porcelain manufactory to visit the „Albrechtsburg“, the gothic cathedral and the maze of romantic streets around the market place with its special medieval atmosphere. Visit the burial place of the Wettins or the first residential castle in Germany. On your way back to Dresden we will stop at the beautiful castle and vineyard Wackerbarth where the most precious and tasteful vines and champagnes are being produced in Saxony. At 5.15 all guests will start their transfer back from Dresden to the campsite after a day full of new impressions along the valley of the Elbe. Per person only 12 €.
Every Tuesday & Saturday: Saxon Switzerland/ Fortress Königstein/ Bastei/ Castle Pillnitz
This very special nature experience starts at 9 am at the campsite with a transfer to the starting point in Dresden. Upstream of the Elbe, along the river, this tour takes you directly into the national park „Saxon Switzerland“ with its bizarre and impressive rock landscape formed of Elbsandstone. The tour stops for approximately 3 hours at the Königstein“ Fortress, one of the largest fortresses in Europe, with its casemates, barracks and deep sandstone wells. Enjoy the glorious view over the Ore Mountains and the Bohemian Central Uplands. After this experience the bus continues its tour, passing through the scenic city Bad Schandau, heading to the most famous point in the Elbsandstone Mountains, the "Bastei". Here you will stay for the next 2,5-3 h, enjoying an amazing scenery, which has already been an incredible inspriation for the famous artists like Caspar David Friedrich and Richard Wagner. On your way back to Dresden, you will stop at the castle of Pillnitz, the former summer residence of August the Strong. At 5.15 pm guests will catch their transfer back to the campsite after a day of "pure nature experience in the Saxon Switzerland. Per person only 12 €.
